Context: Executive-requested initiative to support organizational alignment

Object First’s product operates exclusively within the Veeam ecosystem, yet employees had widely varying levels of familiarity with it.

This created a disconnect:

-Non-technical teams lacked the context needed to confidently communicate value
-Technical teams had inconsistent understanding shaped by prior experience
-There was no shared baseline, leading to confusion and misalignment

We needed a solution that could build foundational understanding without oversimplifying, while still supporting deeper learning for more technical roles.

I focused on designing for range and real-world use, not a single “average” learner.

-Layered learning for autonomy
I structured the experience so all learners could build a clear mental model first, with the option to explore deeper technical detail as needed.

-Clarity over completeness
I prioritized the concepts employees needed to use - how the ecosystem works and how to explain it - rather than exhaustive feature coverage.

-Empathy for mixed audiences
Through close collaboration with SMEs, I translated complex technical concepts into accessible language while preserving enough depth to maintain credibility with experienced learners.

I created a self-paced eLearning experience that:

-Introduced the ecosystem through a simplified, narrative-driven structure
-Used progressive disclosure to allow deeper exploration without overwhelming new learners
-Supported multiple entry points depending on prior knowledge

The result was a single, flexible resource that worked across roles, reducing the need for separate trainings.
